Over the next decade, more than 20 “gigafactories” will be built across Europe and the UK as the industry looks to provide self-sufficiency in the battery market, which includes electric vehicles (EVs), battery energy storage systems (BESS) and more. These specialized ultra-large volume productions facilities will be expected to manufacture the necessary lithium-ion (li-ion) batteries to achieve the CO2 reduction goals set at COP26.
 

Unfortunately, fire safety concerns associated with li-on batteries has slowed BESS and EV adoption. Xtralis can respond to this challenge with a two-part solution – prevention and early detection.
