Tyco Adds OSID by Xtralis to Fire Protection Product Offering

Birmingham, UK (FIREX) – 2011–05-16 – Tyco International, a global leader in fire protection and electronic security, has selected the award-winning OSID (Open Area Smoke Detection) technology by Xtralis™, the company behind VESDA, strengthening their smoke detection offering for open spaces.

The addition of OSID to the Tyco product offering will help address the challenges in open-area detection in the global marketplace. Under the agreement, Tyco will leverage the technology’s core benefits: strong immunity to false alarms, rapid installation and set up, and excellent smoke detection performance.
