Xtralis Strengthens Position as the Market Leader Through the Acquisition of ICAM

Melbourne, Australia 28 - March 2008 - ICAM, a UK based manufacturer of Airsampling Smoke Detection systems, has been acquired by Xtralis. ICAM designs, develops and markets sophisticated smoke detection systems throughout Europe with rapid growth in Asia and North America. Xtralis is a fire and security systems leader whose globally recognized brands include Xtralis access control and video products, ADPRO video security systems, ASIM traffic detection systems, and VESDA very early warning smoke detection systems.

The combined ICAM and Xtralis smoke detection portfolio will enable Xtralis to continue its domination in the high value early warning smoke detection market, access a greater share of the normal sensitivity air-sampling smoke detection market and open the door to developing segments requiring industrial and commercial gas-sensing systems.
