ICAM Aspirating Smoke Detection
Xtralis manufactures the widest range of certified aspirating smoke detection (ASD) systems in the industry, including ICAM by Xtralis ASDs. ICAM aspirating smoke detectors provide early warning to pinpoint a fire's source, decreasing the likelihood of catastrophic loss and ensuring business continuity. ICAM ASD systems also can be equipped with modules to detect hazardous/combustible gases to extend their value beyond smoke detection to include gas detection and environmental monitoring.
ICAM ASD systems provide very early warning so fire events can be contained and investigated with minimal business disruption. From an aspirated point-in-a box (PIAB) detector to the unique 15-channel addressable detector, ICAM smoke detection systems excel in area coverage and powerful performance and are suited to a host of applications in the most demanding environments.
EXTENDING THE CAPABILITY OF TRADITIONAL SMOKE DETECTORS
ICAM IAS detectors transform traditional point detectors into powerful aspirating systems for use in harsh, dusty and inaccessible spaces. These detectors can house virtually any manufacturer’s conventional or analog addressable point (spot) detectors. If larger area coverage is required, the controller can be equipped with one or two laser point (spot) detectors. Compared to the standard smoke sensitivity of a traditional smoke sensor, the ICAM ILS detector has higher sensitivity and delivers increased area coverage.
