Life Safety & Security Expert Allen Fritts Joins Xtralis

Avon, MA — October 13, 2014 — Xtralis, the world’s leading provider of very early & reliable detection and remote visual verification safety and security solutions, today announced that W. Allen Fritts has signed an exclusive consulting agreement to help guide Xtralis’ channel & market expansion, and recommend & promote its award-winning life safety & security solutions. Mr. Fritts recently retired as president of Honeywell Fire Systems, a global business unit of Honeywell International, Inc., and is already at work with Xtralis.

A United States Marine Corp veteran, Allen has devoted more than 35 years of his professional career to the Fire and Security industries. He has served as president and was on the board of directors for the Security Industry Association (SIA), board of directors for the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA), and the Automatic Fire Alarm Association (AFAA).

Mr. Fritts is a recipient of the prestigious George R. Lippert Memorial Award, the highest honor given by SIA and was inducted into the Security Sales & Integration Magazine Hall of Fame for his contributions to the Fire and Safety industry.

Mr. Fritts is a Fire Department of New York (FDNY) honorary assistant fire chief, an FDNY Foundation board member, and an honorary police officer for the town of North Branford, Connecticut. In his hometown of Durham, Connecticut, he serves as a volunteer firefighter, emergency medical responder (EMR), chaplain and officer of the Durham Volunteer Fire Department. In addition, he was awarded “Firefighter of the Year” in 2009 by the Connecticut District Exchange Club.

The governor of Kentucky commissioned him a Kentucky Colonel, and the governor of Tennessee commissioned him a Tennessee colonel on the governor’s staff. The Georgia secretary of state recognized him as an outstanding Georgia citizen, and he was recognized by proclamation from the governor of the state of Connecticut for countless contributions to his fire department. He was also commissioned an admiral in the Great Navy of the state of Nebraska by the governor of Nebraska.
