Xtralis Expands Award-Winning ADPRO Infrared Detector Offering
Melbourne Australia - August 2008 - Xtralis, a leading provider of powerful intelligent, early warning fire detection and security solutions, today announced the expansion of its awardwinning ADPRO PRO infrared detector range in Asia Pacific. With the launch of the three new PIR models, Xtralis offers its customers and partners the most comprehensive range of infrared detectors in today’s market.
The expanded ADPRO PRO line now includes:
- The PRO 30, with a detection pattern of 30m x 20m
- The PRO 40, with a detection pattern of 40m x 10m and
- The PRO 50 with a detection pattern of 50m x 30m
The Xtralis ADPRO PRO Series are highly sensitive, standalone passive infra-red detectors designed for outdoor protection that detect human targets by sensing temperature differences between them and the background. All PRO detectors are suited to a wide range of protection applications, and are ideal for conditional triggering of CCTV, PTZ and dome cameras, as video switchers and video transmission units for event-driven CCTV.
The new PRO detectors feature a new Anti Tamper application, which helps guard against malicious activity, vandalism and other security issues. As Xtralis Asia Pacific Sales Director, Rob Galic, explains: "All our Infrared detectors have a unique anti-tamper feature that provides outstanding system integrity. If the detector is displaced from its installed position, it will generate a tamper alarm that can be sensed, recorded and transmitted in accordance with the BS8418 security standard."
Continued Galic: "The Xtralis ADPRO Detectors can be used as stand-alone units or in high security multi-detector environments, and specific equipment such as an alignment telescope, wireless installation tester and software analysis tools are available free of charge in order to optimise installation."
The ADPRO PRO line includes both in-built AC and DC supply capability and intuitive scene learning capability, to reduce the number of false alarms caused by moving vegetation, small animals and sudden environmental changes. All detectors feature a weather-proof housing and are protected against dust and moisture to ensure reliable operation even in the harshest conditions. In addition, High Performance (H) and Directional (D) variants of the PRO Series Detectors are also available.
