New Release of ADPRO Presidium Intelligent Video Intrusion Detection System
New Release of ADPRO Presidium, an intelligent video intrusion detection system
01/02/2007 - Xtralis Pty Ltd has launched the ADPRO Presidium, an easy to install Video Motion Detection (VMD) system that is designed to deliver the maximum detection performance and minimum false alarm probability in the most demanding outdoor perimeter and area protection applications.
Incorporating more than 20 years of Research & Development, the ADPRO Presidium utilises flexible lighting compensation, multiple scene models, and practical object filters to give the highest likelihood of detecting intruders under a wide range of conditions. Detection can be tailored for specific applications based on the level of perceived threat, and performance is not compromised during periods of scene change caused, for example, by cloud shadows.
The ADPRO Presidium also features automatic scene learning and intelligent algorithms to dramatically reduce false alarm rates caused by small animals, trees and their shadows, car headlights and adverse weather conditions such as heavy wind or rain.
The system’s reliability and performance is complemented by its ease of installation and commissioning; an intuitive PC-based graphical user interface (GUI) has an intelligent pre-configured settings feature that enables quick set-up either on site or remotely over IP.
Comprehensive facilities are also provided that enable easy integration with ADPRO FastTrace and FastTx as well as the PRO series of long range PIR detectors to offer a complete remote site security solution.
ADPRO Presidium features from one to 10 video modules (two cameras per module). Each module has alarm and isolate inputs and an alarm output. The main chassis has access/secure input, general alarm and fault relay outputs, LAN and WAN Ethernet connections.
Commenting on the launch, Tony Drummond, ADPRO Sales Director, says: "ADPRO Presidium is considerably more advanced than other technologies on the market. Smarter algorithms make it more powerful and more capable of filtering out such things as car headlights, tree shadows, snow, rain, even the reflection of water from puddles, all of which could have previously triggered a false alarm.
"Target sizing is similarly more accurate: cats, birds, rabbits and other small mammals can be easily discriminated and ignored, and alarms generated by camera shake and scene wobbles can similarly be rejected.
"Advances in technology have also helped in terms of ease of installation," he continues. "Quick set-up features are available with a smaller number of parameters to be taken into consideration. Connectivity with other devices is also much easier. ADPRO to ADPRO, for example, is a straightforward Ethernet connection; ADPRO to third-party technologies is equally easy via contact outputs and a series of interfaces."
To assist installers directly, Xtralis will be providing manuals, full documentation and information on the web etc as well as helping from the outset with system design, including site visits. The company will also provide a commissioning service to help installers fine-tune the technology to meet the design specification.
As Mr Drummond concludes: "ADPRO Presidium is a dedicated Video Motion Detection technology where its sole purpose is to reliably detect intruders in difficult environments with the lowest false alarm rates possible."
